Who Is Gamma Jamma?

Hi There!

My name is Deb, but I am better known as “Gamma” by all my favorite people. (My grandchildren and their friends!)

Let me ask you a question. If you are older, this will make more sense to you. When you were younger, did you ever have all these ambitions and work hard… So that you could purchase that nicer house and better car…

So that you could have one, two, or maybe three or more children… And then of course, you had to add a couple of dogs and cats in there.

How Did We Get So Overwhelmed?

Only to one day wake up and realize that you were totally overwhelmed and exhausted?

And then you realize that your life will become much easier if you start to downsize the house… Find a job that is less stressful… Downsize to a more affordable car and one or two less pets.

It Was Time To Downsize My Business And Enjoy My Life

Well, that happened to me like I described above, but then it happened to me again in business.

Honestly, that was something that I was not really expecting. But it was the same concept. I kept learning new skills and purchasing more advanced software. And spending countless hours taking expensive courses. All so that I could make more money and have a better life.

Except… The opposite happened. I was not making more money. I was spending more. And I was not having a better life. I was overwhelmed and stressed out.

And I thought I couldn’t live without all of these bells and whistles. Until one day I realized that I could do everything I had been doing… For much, MUCH cheaper… On a WordPress blog.

When I Realized That I Was Married To My Business

At first, I was married to all these funnels and websites, and online courses. But I often thought, “If I knew in the beginning what I know now, I could do this for so much less money and make it so much easier.”

Instead, I built an elaborate business. And when I say I had an elaborate business built out… Well, it was something to be damn proud of, except for one minor detail. It wasn’t profitable.

Then one day, my Facebook got hacked and this caused me MAJOR problems getting traffic from the most popular sites, Facebook and Instagram.

Now, if that wasn’t bad enough, things got worse. Because not only had I built out this elaborate business online, but I had created tutorials teaching other people how to do the same. And then the company who had the software did an update.

No problem, I thought. I will update my tutorials. And I did. And it took me SIX months or more.

Why I Had To Start Over AGAIN – One Last Time

Fast forward to a few months later and one of my teachers told me that I needed to start all over with brand new accounts… Because apparently, my Facebook and Instagram accounts were beyond repair.

And then on that SAME day, that same software that did the update that caused me to spend six months recording new tutorials did ANOTHER update. One that I was not expecting. The entire interface of the back office changed again.

And do you know what this meant? It meant that not one, not two, but FIVE of my courses were now outdated.

And none of my templates worked.

Now, I could have spent six more months recording the tutorials AGAIN. But I was exhausted. And overwhelmed. And stressed to the max.

That’s when I realized that I could continue to cry in my daquiri (which I did for that whole day.) Or I could look at this as an opportunity to start over ONE LAST TIME…

This Time It Was A Blessing In Disguise

But THIS time… To do it right.

To cut the expenses. To cut out a lot of software that I loved, but really didn’t need. And to rebuild my business from scratch. Easily. Simply. And Profitably.

And when I was working on this idea of starting a new Facebook and Instagram and going over the fine details, my teacher said that I could not use the same name.

What? Not use the same name? But that’s my name!

After more than one divorce and getting totally wiped out by hurricane Katrina, this starting over thing was really getting old. What was I supposed to do? Hire an attorney to change my name?

The One Name That Was My Real True Name

Then I realized that I did have ONE more name that I had not used yet. At least not in business.

But it was getting used a LOT in my personal life. By my favorite people in the world… My three beautiful granddaughters and their friends. And that name was GAMMA.

In fact, the name “Gamma Jamma” was given to me by a friend when I was 49 years old and found out that I was going to be soon welcoming my first granddaughter. I bought the domain a long time ago. But it just sat there in my domain account, along with around 45 other domains.

Why not? I thought to myself. After all, that’s my name.

It Was Time To Simplify My Life And My Business

And it greatly describes the time in my life where I desperately wanted to simplify my online business… And most of all, start turning a profit.

So now you know the rest of the story.

Let’s do this together! I’m just a grandma who wants to make life better for my children and grandchildren.

Listen To Grandma Wisdom? Maybe?

But before all that, I spent YEARS trying to learn marketing online while holding down full-time jobs, raising a family, going to school part time, and getting married (and divorced.)

Determined to figure it out, I made a LOT of mistakes. But the biggest mistake of all was overcomplicating my business, spending too much money on software I didn’t need… Being too confused, too much of a perfectionist, suffering from too much social anxiety, and on and on it goes.

But this site is the solution to ALL of that. Stay with me and find out how!
